Carbon footprint: ECOLYS reduces the impact!
At the beginning of 2024, we commissioned a full assessment of the carbon footprint of our ECOLYS solution, using life cycle analysis. This study, carried out by EcovaMed, is a crucial step in our efforts to understand and control our environmental impact.
The objective? To accurately assess the carbon footprint of the ECOLYS solution and compare it with conventional solutions based on impregnated activated carbon (IAC).
Conducted in accordance with the GHG Protocol standard, the assessment covered the entire life cycle, integrating scopes 1, 2 and 3. Taking as a reference the capture of one kilogram of hydrogen sulfide (HâS) on a customer site, the results speak for themselves: the ECOLYS solution reduces carbon impact by 50% to 90% compared with impregnated activated carbon solutions, according to different origin and end-of-life assumptions.

CSR at the heart of our strategic decisions
Our commitment to CSR permeates our entire value chain and structures our business. A number of areas are currently under study:
- Responsible purchasing, guided by the ISO 20400 standard, to encourage committed suppliers.
- Anticipation of climate risks through an analysis of our vulnerability to climate change.
- A structured dialogue with our stakeholders, through a dedicated mapping exercise to identify levers and areas for progress.
- The implementation of GHG reduction levers identified through ECOLYS’ carbon footprint assessment, to enable our customers to benefit from even more significant avoided emissions.
Ambitious GHG emissions reduction trajectory
Our company is committed to adopting an ambitious GHG (greenhouse gas) emissions reduction strategy, fully aligned with the objectives of the Paris Agreement. Our climate approach is based on the Net Zero Initiative, an innovative methodological framework published by Carbone 4 and supported by ADEME and the French Ministry of Ecological Transition.
Transport: taking action where it has the greatest impact
Transport is now our main source of emissions. That’s why we have embarked on a gradual and determined transformation of our logistics flows:
- Since the beginning of 2025, we have begun a transition to the use of biofuels for part of our flows. In the short term, our fleet will include vehicles running on bioGNV.
- A feasibility study on multimodal transport is underway, accompanied by field tests.
Eco-design: engineering solutions for lower carbon impact
Our R&D teams are working to optimize the environmental performance of our solutions:
- Eco-design of our equipment: to make them lighter, more durable and less carbon-intensive – a step forward for both the environment and logistics.
- Advanced formulation of filter media: to offer greater performance with less material, thus reducing the carbon impact in relation to the service provided.
